Explorer or Ultimate?

Explorer provides an independent starting point for discovering the destination. Ultimate includes the Explorer selection plus additional places and route collections, with more options for building a multi-day journey.

New self-guided itinerary choices: Explore newly added short itinerary options for Tokyo's Asakusa, central Kyoto and Kanazawa. Ultimate additionally offers a Kyoto gardens, manga and tea-culture day. Each planned route uses existing locations, practical transfer notes and optional alternatives. The same map features are included regardless of access duration. Monthly and annual access are the supported subscription periods.

Japan Ultimate additions · October 2026

Six new cultural and sightseeing destinations: teamLab Planets TOKYO, SHIBUYA SKY, Mori Art Museum, Sanjusangendo Temple, Heian Jingu Shrine and Shitennoji Temple. An optional Shinjuku 20+ bar and nightlife guide covers Golden Gai and Kabukicho. Those public neighbourhoods are not age restricted, but buying or drinking alcohol in Japan requires being at least 20. The adult guide is hidden by default and not included in automatic day plans. Five duplicate listings have been merged. Verify source information, venue entry, and current conditions before travel.

Membership pricing

€50 per month or €500 per year. Annual access gives 12 months for the price of 10 monthly payments. The annual amount is billed upfront.

Your selected monthly or annual membership renews until cancelled. Review the recurring amount and cancellation conditions at checkout.

How to open and use your map

1. Open your map: once your purchase is confirmed, use the link in your membership access guide or open Japan Ultimate.
2. Sign in: use the same email address you entered at checkout. A different account will not show your purchase.
3. Start exploring: choose a destination or interest, save places and add them to My Trip. Use Google Maps or Apple Maps for directions.

Your interactive map opens in your browser. The final order email and access link still need to be tested. Map tiles, external sources and navigation require internet.

Keep your plans: favourites, notes and your itinerary are stored in this browser, not synced between devices. Download your personal trip guide before switching devices or clearing browser data. The downloaded guide can be read offline.

Plan with current information

Place notes include source references, planning tips, editorial visit-time allowances and relevant practical information where researched. Confirm current opening hours, admissions, accessibility, weather and transport with the venue or operator. A documented reference point is not a confirmed visitor entrance.
